Black Lake Tournament

Ok everyone its finally time for our first tournament. Our first tournament will be at Black Lake this coming up Saturday. Since this is the our first tournament and had no meeting please show up early so we can get everyone signed up for the club in plenty of time. Below is a list of all the dues and entry costs.
Club Dues = $40
ALBC Dues (Opitional) = $35
Tournament Entry = $40
The salvinia situation is always a factor here. To me it looked like 98% of the grass is dead but only about 50% of it has sunk so be prepared. Seems like this season is starting about like last years with having to reschedule tournaments and move things around. Hopefully we don’t have to move anything else around. Also if enough people want to do the team bracket tournament, I will set it up. Be thinking about your team and we will talk about it at weigh in next weekend. Hope to see everyone there.

February Tournament Postponed

Everyone,

Due to weather conditions, road conditions, electricity outages, possible ramp freezing due to cold weather, and my current working the storm damage, I am going to have to postpone the tournament Saturday. I am sorry about this. 2021 is starting out like 2020 ended. However we will make this tournament up and soon as I have a date set I will let everyone know.

2021 Meeting

Everyone,

Due to virus concerns, we will not be holding a meeting this year. The plan is have board members vote on lakes in January 24th. Dates for tournaments are below. Feel free to call if you have any questions.

Ben Routh Tournament

Guys are last regular season tournament of the year is next weekend 8/08 out of Ben Routh in the Red River. Remember the top 12 out of the AOY standings qualify for the championship. Gets daylight around 6 so get there early. Weigh in will be at 2. Hope to see everyone there.

Tournament Change

Due to the planned draw down of Saline Lake, the club decided to swap tournament locations for the July and August tournament. We will now be going to Saline July 11 and Red River Pool 1 on August 8.

Toledo Bend June 13th Tournament

Our next tournament will be this Saturday 6/13 on Toledo Bend. There is NO off limits period for Toledo Bend Tournaments so you can practice anytime this week. Official Take off time will be 5:50. You cannot leave the landing until that time. Weigh in time will be 3:30 at the Texas Side of the Pendleton Bridge. If anyone is bringing a guest you must let me know before the Tournament. Finally the board discussed and decided that our make up tournament for the April Tournament that was canceled will be June 27 at Saline/Larto. Hope to see everyone at the Toledo tournament. If anyone has any questions just give me a call.

Black River Lake Tournament

I want to congratulate Mike Barbat and Michael Watts for winning the first ever SBBC Team Bracket Challenge. I want to thank the members for their participation. You guys made this a big success. I will plan on doing one next year as well. If you haven’t paid your Bracket Entries please bring it to Black River Lake next weekend. I hope to see everyone next weekend at the tournament. Been awhile since we had a tournament. I’m gonna ask that everyone do their best to not get in large groups and keep their distance especially at weigh in time.

All Tournaments are Postponed

Until further notice all tournaments have been postponed. Once the governors order of more than 10 people can meet we will resume and attempt to reschedule all events.

Bruin Canceled

Everyone Catahoula parish just issued parish wide curfew from 10pm – 6am because of this I will have to cancel tournament. Things are changed so fast I hate to try and relocate or even change time because the state park my close as well. Once more information is available we may just show up and fish Saline Saturday with no Points just money. If this occurs I will contact everyone to let them know.

Lake Bruin Tournament

Our 2nd tournament of the year will be next Saturday 3/21 on Lake Bruin out of the State Park. The park doesn’t open till 6 and with only one ramp it might be a challenge to get everyone launched in time, but we will hold take off if need be. Hope to see everyone their. It will be our first time their for our club so should make for a good tournament.
